  Lists 

     This section describes the various list types.

    
     Ordered Lists

      The following is an ordered list. It is referred to as ordered because the items in the list must be carried out in the order listed, from first to last. 

      Put your socks on.
      Put your shoes on.
      Tie your shoes.

 
    Unordered Lists

    The following list is referred to as an unordered list because it is a list in which order is not important.

      juice
      bread
      bacon
      liver
      onions
      eggplant
    
    
    Definition Lists
    
    The following type of list presents an item followed by a description of that item. This type of list is often called a definition list, because it can be used to define terms.

      Description
        
          I was born one morning when the sun didn't shine. I picked up my shovel and I walked to the mine. I loaded sixteen tons of number nine coal, and the straw boss said, "Well, bless my soul!"
